The Board of Directors of BeGreen is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Obling as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective 12 January 2026. Peter Obling will lead the next phase of BeGreen’s development as an integrated renewable power producer.
BeGreen is now taking the next step in the company’s development as an energy producer. As part of strengthening the flexibility of the Danish electricity system, BeGreen is constructing a 20 MW / 40 MWh battery park, directly connected to the company’s solar park at Ingerslev Å.
On Wednesday, June 18, Ingerslev Å solar park was officially opened. Behind the park is BeGreen, a Danish energy actor that both develops, builds, owns, and operates land-based renewable energy projects.

Equinor has signed an agreement to buy BeGreen, a Denmark-based leading solar project developer in North-West Europe. The acquisition strengthens Equinor’s capabilities and portfolio within solar PV.
