We own and operate the solar park
When you lease your land to BeGreen, you enter into a partnership with us, where we handle and monitor the solar park throughout the entire development and operational phases.
Operations and Maintenance
When you enter a partnership with BeGreen, we take care of every aspect of the solar park’s development and operation. From the moment the park is established, our experienced Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team ensures everything runs smoothly. This means you can trust that the solar park on your land is maintained, operated efficiently, and managed by our own professionals who know the park inside and out.
Ownership and Responsibility
By managing both ownership and operations, the green energy produced is sold directly by us. This approach allows us to keep everything under one roof, ensuring reliable and stable operations. For landowners, this means a straightforward and worry-free leasing agreement, where you enjoy a stable rental income without needing to worry about the daily management of the solar park. In a long-term partnership, you can trust that we handle the solar park with the same care and attention you give your land.
Overview of steps
The development of a solar park is a thorough process, progressing through carefully planned phases with all involved parties. When you, as a landowner in Denmark, enter into an agreement with BeGreen, it marks the start of a long-term collaboration. Here’s an insight into what happens along the way, from the first steps to the completed project.
Option and Lease Agreement
The partnership consists of an initial option period, during which the current agricultural activity continues unchanged.
Local Planning Process
BeGreen designs the project and applies for local planning and permits from the municipality, while current agricultural activity continues as usual.
Construction Process and Installation
Once all permits are in place, the construction process and installation of the solar system begin. From this point, you receive payment for the land lease.
Energy Production
This is followed by 30-40 years of electricity production, providing ongoing returns to you as the landowner. BeGreen has both ownership and operation of the leased areas.
Land Restoration
After many years of production, the installation is removed, and the land can once again be used for agricultural production.
A good business opportunity
A partnership on solar energy is an attractive alternative to more traditional agricultural production and can ensure a fixed and stable return. Payment for land leases for solar parks in Denmark can occur under two settlement models.
Fixed Price per Hectare per Year:
The land rent is set when the agreement is made and adjusted throughout the lease period.
Production-Dependent Rent
A production-dependent lease, which constitutes a fixed percentage of the total production of the facility.
