The battery park will be one of the largest of its kind in Denmark and marks BeGreen’s first move into battery storage. The new facility will make it possible to store solar energy from the Ingerslev Å solar park and deliver power to the grid at times of high demand.
A strategic step forward
The project is part of BeGreen’s strategy to develop into a full-scale energy producer with multiple technologies in its portfolio.
“Energy transition isn’t just about producing more green power, but also about being able to deliver it in a controllable and predictable way. Batteries are key to ensuring both stability and the high utilization of the renewable energy we are producing. It is a crucial piece in the green transition, and we are proud to contribute,” says Wojciech Cetnarski, CEO, BeGreen.
The battery park at Ingerslev Å is expected to be ready for operation in mid-2026.
